Newsletter for the Month of July 2018
Welcome back after a summer break!
We hope you and your family had a relaxed and enjoyable summer holiday. The return to school has been smooth and all children have settled in their respective environments.
A Warm welcome to the children and parents who joined Little Pearls in July. We are excited and looking forward to have a year full of fun filled experiences with your child
The theme of the month was Water which was perfect with the onset of Rainy season. The children enjoyed exploring the different forms of water. Most of the children loved all water play, washing, pouring, transferring, sink and float, fishing, playing with ice and see it melt and change form. The children also enjoyed knowing about rain, clouds and rainbow.
The sea world and sea animals was very exciting for all children. Knowing all about the mysterious oceans and the life under the ocean was very exciting. Lot of art and craft activities and project of creating an aquarium in classrooms was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Children were taught to value our very precious resource “water”. Uses and importance of water was reinforced and children were made aware of ways we could save water.
Apart from working on alphabets, colours, shapes and numbers, the children are continuing to learn days of the week, months in a year and the colours of the rainbow.
They enjoyed the splash pool every Thursday and every child enjoyed water play to the fullest.
The month ended with rain dance where rain gods were kind and children splashed in the pool with showers and pretend rain over them.
Peek in the ocean reinforced all that they learnt in this month in a total play way method where the children saw a real life sea video and a make belief ocean like creation.
It was exciting month exploring the water world and are looking forward to a new month of watching our flying friends and creepy crawlies.
