Newsletter for the Month of October 2019
Hope you all had a great Diwali
Hope you all had a great Diwali and may God keep blessing you with health, wealth and knowledge!!
The month of October was a month of festivals and understanding nature. The theme of the month was plants and this theme definitely brought children closer to nature. The range of activities started from planting, sowing, watering, uprooting the vegetables and finally preparing something out of it! This kept them engrossed and intrigued at the same time. Nature walk and Mother Dairy visit were practical experiences of real life. Children were so inspired that they set up their own fruit& vegetable market and thoroughly enjoyed playing different roles of buyer and seller!!
During class discussions and brain storming sessions on how plants are important and on how to reduce pollution, children came up with many creative answers. The focus is not on what to learn but how to learn.
The whole team of Little Pearls alongwith the children celebrated Diwali, Dussehra and Halloween. The festive, colourful dresses and costumes made our day!
We are looking forward to the coming month with the theme ”Earth”. It involves experiences and a variety of topics. We request parents to talk about the Planet we are living in. Please mark your calendars for the Parent-Teacher Meeting on 16th November. Attendance for all parents in compulsory as many children are moving to new classes and new experiences!!
