Newsletter for the Month of September 2019
The natural habitat and habits were introduced
The theme this month was Animals. The natural habitat and habits were introduced. The children understood the difference between wild and farm animals and also make them aware of the importance of animals to us and the environment.
Children engaged in a series of activities, games, songs, and rhymes centered on animals.
Singing and dancing, animal songs and becoming a part of the jungle or farm was a fun way to help children remember the animal names, their features and sounds they make.
Puzzles with animals also got our little geniuses’ minds racing. Whether they are wooden puzzles with knobs or small jigsaw puzzles, they are a great way to introduce and inform them about animals.
We explained to our little ones that animals are friends, with the similar feelings and emotions and that is why they must be empathetic towards them. Each child was made to realise how each animal helps us and were told to value and care for them.
This month, we celebrated ‘Grandparents day’. It was a pleasure to have Grandparents over, playing a few games with us and doing some activities along with their grandchildren. We missed the grandparents who could not make it.
The children practised and worked hard all month to put up an enactment of Ramlila. All children were amazing specially keeping in mind that it was the first time for many to be on stage and face an audience.
Next month, we will be exploring the green world of plants and talk about flora and fauna, fruit and vegetables.
We would like to thank the parents of Yash Singhal, Viven Shah, Haddy Fofana, Emma Naqvi, Anirudh Yadav, Advay Jain, Xiao Jin Shan for wishing us and showing their appreciation on teachers day by writing a review on our website.
