My child has never been away from home. What steps do you take to help them acclimate to a new environment?

It’s natural for a child to feel anxious when separated from their parents for the first time. To ease this, we start with shorter school hours and allow parents to stay with their child during the initial days. We also provide helpful guidelines for parents and organize an Orientation Program to ensure a smooth transition for both the child and parents.

If my child only understands their mother tongue, how will they follow instructions?

At admission, we encourage parents to share keywords in their child's native language. As trust builds between the teacher and child, the child begins to understand and respond to instructions. Little Pearls prides itself in catering to children from across the globe, for the last 30 years. We have been the preferred choice by many expat families & embassies.

What is your Teacher to Student Ratio?

We maintain a carefully balanced teacher-to-child ratio of 1:6 for children under 2 years old and 1:8 for children over 2 years old.

What pedagogical approach do you employ?

Our approach integrates the principles of Montessori, Play Way, and Reggio Emilia. We believe that every child is an active learner, driven by curiosity and individual interests. Our tailored methodology nurtures each child’s unique strengths, fostering exploration from multiple perspectives and enabling them to engage with content at their own pace and level of comprehension.

What are the qualifications and training of your teaching staff?

Our teaching staff is carefully selected for their dedication to fostering a love for learning and their passion for working with young children. Most hold formal qualifications in early childhood education, and all teachers undergo regular in-service training to ensure they are up to date with the latest pedagogical practices. Additionally, we encourage and support their ongoing academic and professional development, enabling them to implement contemporary and effective teaching methods in the classroom.

Health & Safety

What are your health measures?

We advise parents to screen their children daily before school. If a child exhibits symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough, or loss of smell/taste, they should stay home until fully recovered. A medical certificate is required for return after an infectious illness. Please ensure all immunizations are up to date.

How do you handle emergencies or medical situations?

Our staff is trained in first aid and CPR. In emergencies, we contact parents immediately. In the rare case of an emergency, your child is in safe hands and will be taken to the nearest hospital. We also maintain up-to-date health records for each child. For more details, please contact the counsellor for the Medical SOP.

What Security and safety measures are in place at Little Pearls?

We are unwavering in our commitment to the safety and well-being of every child. To ensure a secure environment, we have implemented a range of robust measures, including 24-hour security personnel, comprehensive CCTV coverage, firefighting equipment, and well-defined emergency protocols. All faculty and administrative staff are trained in First Aid, and we have partnered with Max Hospitals to provide immediate medical assistance when needed.

We also place a high priority on maintaining impeccable hygiene, cleanliness, and safety throughout our facilities.

How is your support staff recruited and verified?

Our support staff is hired through a trusted outsourcing agency with whom we've partnered for over a decade. All staff undergo thorough background checks, with their details recorded with the school and local police. They also receive continuous training to ensure they maintain high standards of care and service

Meals

What kind of meals are offered?

We serve healthy, vegetarian, multi-cuisine, and child-friendly meals. The monthly menu is shared with parents in advance, offering a variety of dishes to encourage children to try new foods. Meals are freshly prepared on-site each day using high-quality ingredients.

Can my child carry his/her own meal to school? Can the meal cost be deducted from the fee structure?

Eating together creates a sense of community and helps children develop social bonds. Mealtime is a shared experience where children have the chance to interact with peers, practice good table manners, and develop communication skills in a supportive environment. It encourages a sense of belonging and teamwork, which is a vital part of their emotional and social development.

We understand that some children may have medical conditions, allergies, or other dietary restrictions that require special meals. In these cases, we are more than happy to make accommodations.

In case a need arises to send meals from home, the meal cost will not be deducted from fee structure.

Do you cater to allergies and dietary restrictions?

At Little Pearls, our children's safety, health, and well-being is our top priority. Before your child starts school, we request parents to complete a medical form outlining any health concerns, allergies, or dietary restrictions. This information ensures that we can provide the necessary care and accommodations for your child. Please inform the Admissions Head of any health-related details at the time of admission.

Fees Structure

What is the fee structure?

School Fees (Payable on the first week of each quarter - inclusive of meals, resources, excursions, etc)

What is the process of withdrawing admissions?
