The LP Learning
Adventure
We believe that each child is unique and requires different pathways to learning. By providing multiple mediums of learning to interact with, we encourage our children to be curious and independent young beings.
While our pedagogy has strong roots in the blended approach of Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Playway, Little Pearls prides itself in striking a balance between structured and freeplay. Since its early days, Little Pearls has always been a cultural melting pot; students from all over the world are enrolled here, making it a naturally diverse environment for children to engage and grow in.
With a robust schedule that is research based, we prioritise the needs and interests of the children. The teachers at Little Pearls are well equipped to understand ‘how’ to educate the children through quality interaction, no matter ‘what’ they have to teach.
Striving for inclusivity, we use various techniques such as music and dance to widen the pool of cultural knowledge for our little learners. Every morning, we gather around the stage in the main lobby and begin the day by singing songs from different cultures. Then, towards the end of the day, we make time for the Feelings Circle, an intimate gathering where students identify their emotions alongside their peers’ through an activity. We believe practices such as these, though simple, cultivate an environment of heightened empathy and tolerance alongside bringing joy and positivity which is imperative for young children.
Little Pearls incorporates a balanced blend of teaching techniques in order to achieve holistic learning. We understand that learning happens in many moments of the day, not just in the classroom, this is why we offer various spaces within the school bounds such as the Peek-a-boo Playway area, The Stage or the Indoor Sports Arena where practical learning can take place.
