NEWSLETTER FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST 2023
Dear Parents,
The theme for the month of August was Birds and Water animals. Children learnt about various birds like crow, pigeon, peacock, eagle, owl, flamingo and many more along with a variety of insects like ants, butterflies, ladybugs, spiders, and others.
Learning about water animals was also very exciting for all children. Knowing all about the mysterious oceans and the life under the ocean was thrilling.
Lot of art and craft activities and hands-on activities and science projects were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The activities varied from making bird nests, life-cycle creation, crafts, ant farms, sorting birds and aquatic animals, feeding food to Parrots(real) and various other hands-on learning about birds & water animals.
Theme related story books like The Rainbow Fish, The Snail and the Whale, Thirsty Crow, Hungry Caterpillar, etc and rhymes like Pretty Butterfly, Baby Shark, Five little fish, Incy Wincy Spider, etc were introduced.
The children of KG, Nursery, PreNursery and Toddlers participated in the ‘Show and Tell’ activity. Some came dressed up, some bought their animal toys, some printouts but everyone showed an animal and spoke about it. We appreciate the efforts each one of you took to make the show and tell activity successful. Show and tell sets the stage for children to become comfortable, when speaking in public.
This month saw a lot of celebrations.
Independence day celebration was organized with great zeal and enthusiasm. A special assembly was held where the children danced to the music of songs from various states of India.
We also had Rakshabandan celebration. Children made rakhis, which teachers tied on their hands and gave them a precious little sweet which made the environment full of love and joy.
It was a busy and enjoyable month.
We are looking forward to next month where we will be learning about Farm and Wild animals.
Grandparents Day will be celebrated on Wednesday, 6th September 2023.
Warmly,
Kalpana Garg
